Nope probably be overpriced/underpowered and/or be more closed off than anything on the market just now.

No.

They would limit games (for "protection").

Digital Downloads only

It would use last-gen tech selling for next gen prices

You couldn't resell games or buy used

Best of all, if you hold the controller the wrong way, it wouldn't work.

i already have one

it's called iPhone

seriously tho

i go where the games are, no brand loyalty in the console war. if Capcom announces that they're making MvC3 exclusively for the Apple console then i'm getting an Apple console.

It depends. I'm usually anti-super-closed-Apple devices (as in iPhones, iPads...) for several reasons, but I like their computer line (although I don't have any).

With that said, I would consider buying their console depending on games, features, price and current gen competiton. My PS3 is already a super-closed device... (but I don't use it as a computer or a computer-like device, just as a videogame console and media center). I think the poll should have a "Maybe" or similar option. Some people will say yes even if it is ultra-expensive and crappy, and other people will say no because Apple is banned in their lives...

If the thing actually brought something to the competitive market, would be fairly priced, would provide exclusive features or games found on no other platform and had a great controller

comparable to the 360 controller, then yes. Will it happen? Hahaha, no.

Apple would just be providing the platfrom.

If they had good games, then yes.

If they were not enough games that interest me, then no.

No, the only reason I have a console now is the that the wife is addicted to Mario games. I doubt Mario is coming to Apple or anyone, anytime soon.

Sorry but you would have to make a choice :) Maybe isnt really correct for this.

BTW, I laugh at Apple too but the "holding it the wrong way" thing is kinda getting old. It was funny at first like Rick Roll but people have so overkilled the joke, its now just lame.....

You know, I can't see any reason why I wouldn't.

If it was innovative in hardware like the PS3, (for it's time) and affordable, yep, I would buy an Apple console.

If apple made a console they'd have to make the price at least somewhat reasonable to stand a chance. That said, with the dedicated Apple fans out there buying anything with their logo on it i bet it would probably sell well. I think though, they'd have to go down the road that Nintendo did with the Wii and go for Novelty, family orientated gaming as opposed to providing a powerful, sheep raping graphic whoring son of a bitch hardcore console.

It's impossible to answer that without knowing details.

Would I buy it just because it's an Apple device? No.

Would I NOT buy it just because it's an Apple device? No.

How are we even supposed to answer this? We have no clue what it would be like.

If it were competitive, though, and had great games then yes, I would.

It would use last-gen tech selling for next gen prices

Like the Wii? :p

No, because if I didn't hold the controller the right way, it wouldn't work.
