That badge mento nothing various companies made Nintendo games without its seal of approval.

Actually it did mean something, hence why you can probably count on one hand how many companies that didn't use it, and how many copies of said games were sold on the other hand.

From wiki:

Originally, for NTSC countries, the seal was a large, black and gold circular starburst. The seal read as follows: "This seal is your assurance that NINTENDO has approved and guaranteed the quality of this product." This seal was later altered in 1988: "approved and guaranteed" was changed to "evaluated and approved". In 1989, the seal became gold and white, as it currently appears, with a shortened phrase, "Official Nintendo Seal of Quality". It was changed in 2003 to read "Official Nintendo Seal" rather than "Official Nintendo Seal of Quality". Currently, the seal makes no guarantee of quality software, instead referring to the fact that the item is published or licensed by Nintendo.

Like I said, it used to mean something ;) Hasn't for a long time..

I probably would, if they do a good job on it.

Pricing would be as any other console just to keep the competitive edge especially when entering a new market.

It was the same with Microsoft, the original Xbox sucked but the 360 took over part of the market share away from Sony and Nintendo

no, i wouldnt. it'd cost $1000 and only play Tetris, but Apple will call it revolutionary.

and the iSheep will still buy steve's iCrap. :(

No, because...

1. It would cost so much

2. It would be too much for the specs, like the same/lower specs as the XBOX but 4x the price

3. It would only have a few features on launch

4. A Year later we would get the Apple Game Device 2 which will be an increase in price and bring in missing features such as Wireless Controllers,Built in Wi-Fi,online connectivity etc. Call it revolutionary and get loads of sales.

5. It would have problems, like the remote has a button on the side, that when you hold it normally you hit it by accident. And apple will just say "Don't hold it that way" :p

6. Customer support would not be that good, if you are stuck on a game... "Don't play it that way" :p

Had problems with the XBOX classic? Only issue I really had was the damn DVD tray that I had to replace. Other than that, it was fine for me. I remember hearing more crap about the first gen 360 than the classic. Friend still has his old modded classic.

Meh, 15 years ago if you asked me if I thought Microsoft would make a good gaming system I'd call you crazy. So maybe?

Best reply in this thread.

Nope probably be overpriced/underpowered and/or be more closed off than anything on the market just now.

+1

Need I say more?

Would love to see what Apple could do, but with people like Steve Jobs in charge who are a consumers PR nightmare, no. So maybe when they realign their business ethics and start fixing currently broken (or design flaws, whatever you want to call it, its a problem and should be fixed) brand new hardware.

In 2015 I wouldn't spend more then $300 on that games console

Hell, you'd only be paying a few grand for a system like that now, sans the games controller.

Remember - Five years ago Pentium 4 clocked at 3.4Ghz with 2GB of RAM and a GeForce 7800GTX was considered a high end machine. Now, you could get all of that for easily a few hundred tops. So, a slightly more powerful top-end machine now would probably only be a few hundred dollars in five years time.

I said no because I hate Apple, but I could see them pulling the Nintendo crowd and doing very well.
