Madden 11

I'm on the fence about getting Madden this year,Backbreaker is out and from what I hear isn't so great and Madden well if ever Madden was a rehash of last years game I think its this years game because they really haven't done anything that impresses me.So they shorted the games down to 30 minutes, big deal, they changed the way the players move, that doesn't impress me either. It seem's like they are making this game noob friendly more and more every year.I don't want a game where I can only choose one play at a time or have to game plan for the game before I play it, sure game planning is cool but it shouldn't be a core aspect of the game IMO.

To me this looks like Madden from last year with minor changes and i'm sure the crappy defense and the glitches are going to be in there again in this years game.

It may sound like i'm whining but when its the only licensed game in town then well if no one complains nothing is going to change.

I was reading another forum dedicated to sports games and someone said that the players uniforms wont even get dirty and they showed footage to prove their case.

How retarded is that? If its raining and your on a grass field you're gonna get muddy but the uniforms look clean still, hopefully they fix that before release but release is coming up soon.

So I don't know if i'll be getting it this year.I might get NCAA 11 instead.

Thats why I wait for Madden to go into "Used" basket before I buy it. I wish NFL would just cancel the damn license agreement with EA and let 2k Sports compete with them, I remember NFL2k series on Dreamcast/PS2 were really good.

The 2k series was the best NFL games made,if you go and play them now they would still be better than the current Madden offering.

They need to end these exclusive licenses. It has essentially destroyed baseball on the PC. It isn't helping with either basketball or football. I am looking at finding a decent baseball game so badly that I don't really care if it has an MLB license or not. I'll just want it to play like the game. As for Madden 11, I reserve judgment, but I haven't been impressed in awhile.

Basketball is made by both 2K sports and EA Sports. Baseball is also made by 2K Sports and Sony Studios. So if you have a PS3 you can play the best baseball games ever created, called MLB 10 The Show.

probably wont be able to do it this time around without paying extra for the 10 dollar license on used games fee EA is using in their sports games.

As far as I'm aware, the big improvement in Madden 11 is the run blocking. That and the fact they've tried to speed the game up with preset game plans. Both welcome additions in my book.

that's the thing about psorts games with yearly itterations. it' gets to the point where they do little things that only the hardcore fan of that sport will notice/appreciate6.

I played the demo and I must say its not worth the time it took to download. The visual detail hasn't improved and its dumbed down completely for the noob, even when you choose to play the old way its noobish. Its madden 10 with noob features pretty much,The same animations are there(thats no surprise they never change them)the visuals are almost the same as last years the play calling sucks ugh it just sucks IMO.

From what I hear NCAA 11 blows away madden this year. Its usually madden that out does NCAA but NCAA seems to have made big improvements and madden hasnt.

Madden 11 has that as well. If I had to chose between the two, I'd get Madden. Looks more engaging.

NCAA 11 has lots more ways to play then madden does.Online dynasty,Team Builder(better than the orginal),Mascot Mashup,Road to Glory,Offline Dynasty,Online Team Builder Matches,Ranked/Unranked online matches

Also has a feature where you can create your own story about your dynasty and share it.

In years past i'd get madden over NCAA but definitely not this year.NCAA 11 feels like its own game now and generally feels more like real football over maddens offering.

I played the demo and the animations are jerky as hell, sound design totally sucks, I think I will keep my copy of Madden 10.... Might hop on eBay and grab a copy of 2k5 for the xbox lol :p

Oh and I think I will grab NCAA instead :)

You just know they have a list of stuff they keep out of 2011 and so they have something to add to 2012
