Lamp0
well if Los Santos and Vinewood were already done as DM pointed out, then this isn't conjecture, it's fact. I wouldn't mind if they went back to this Los Santos, never played GTA:SA so it'll be new to me. Well I imagine it will be new to everyone, as I doubt they will just clone the Los Santos/Vinewood map they had in GTA:SA. Liberty City in GTA4 was basically a different city to Liberty City in GTA3. Dane
I hope they try something different this time, im getting bored of 'starting the game and arriving to the city after being in jail/an immigrant/other unspecified event, with an arbitrary lock on being able to go across the bridges to the other islands because of terrorist event or some accident, fighting your way up crime syndicate ladder' crap they pull every game, i love GTA but its wearing a bit thin now. How about having it from the other point of view being a cop or undercover cop trying to infiltrate crime syndicates or to stop some sort of terrorist threat. soniqstylz
Why not just 'Western Europe'? Rome, Barcelona, Amsterdam, London, Paris. Have Spanish/French countryside, the Alps, trains, planes, travel over the water to London (there's your 2nd arbitrary lock), different countries = different cultures = different gangs/mission types/scenery/variety. Scale down the cities (GTA4 Liberty City was a great in terms of building a "living city" that felt like New York, but at least in San Andreas you could fly or cut across the desert, going from Broker to Jersey took forever and took the fun out of it), give us some countryside, a few landmarks, and make a bigger San Andreas-type map, not a bigger Los Santos/Vice City/Liberty City/Carcer City map. I don't know why people obsess with taking GTA out of the US. For me part of the appeal is the satirical take on US culture, But that doesn't mean you can't have other cultures. I also liked the massive GTA4 city, it certainly had a ton more atmosphere then any of the other GTA's; it's scale actually made it feel like a full city. Having said that I would like to see remote areas as well. Perhaps they could change the structure of the map from being a few island in the middle of a sea, to being more like RDR, which is built on a bigger plan. Swerz
Can't we stop with American cities for now? How about, Paris, Rom or Tokyo? GTA: Tokyo would rock. The Yakuza are crazy mofos
