DPyro
I got a rebate from some computer parts I bought and they sent me a $10 prepaid Citi Mastercard. I tried to add it to the PlayStation Store so I could buy some add-on or game and it wouldn't work (although Sony still charged $1 every time I tried to add the card). I then went to Amazon.com to try and buy a PlayStation Network game or add-on and they are asking for a billing address, but I don't live in the US. So I need some ideas as to what to do with this card. I should be getting another $20 card within the next month so I'll be stuck with two prepaid cards that I seemingly can't use. Chasethebase Reporter Posted July 26, 2010 Reporter Share Posted July 26, 2010 Go to Amazon.ca then? Does that work?
DPyro
Amazon.ca doesn't have the PSN store. They also don't allow you to split credit cards :(
Asharae
Try and add it into PayPal so you can spend it on something using that?
protocol7
Yeah you can add a prepaid card to paypal and use it that way. Barely worth it for a total of $30 though. Otherwise you could maybe buy some other kind of gift card that you could sell for face value (iTunes comes to mind but the cheapest is $15). DPyro
Hmm, I tried to buy a $10 amazon.ca gift certificate and it said "We're sorry, we encountered an internal server error and will investigate". Pending charge on my card now for $10  EDIT: Ok, so it shows an order invoice so I'll see what happens in the next couple of days.
Geoffrey B. Veteran Posted July 26, 2010 Veteran Share Posted July 26, 2010 Any purchase I make online is done using a prepaid Master Card, that only contains the exact amount of money that I plan on spending for that purchase. This prevents people from stealing my money being that the most they could get was the exact amount I intended on the purchase and if they attempted to use the number elsewhere it would simply come up with insufficient funds. SimplySchizo
I used an AMEX prepaid card with PSN without a problem.
