jnelsoninjax Posted August 1, 2010 Share Posted August 1, 2010 OCALA, Fla. -- An Ocala waitress on Wednesday followed a customer accused of walking out on his bill and took him back to the restaurant, where he was arrested. Jerry Stanage was charged with defrauding an innkeeper.According to Ocala police, Stanage and two others ran up a tab of $23.19 at an Ocala Ale House and left without paying. The trio's waitress, Crystal Wynn, heard the men talking about going to a bar, so she later went there and confronted the men about the unpaid bill, police said. Two of the men left the bar in a pickup, but Stanage agreed to go back to the restaurant, so Wynn drove him to the Ale House and called police, according to authorities. Stanage told police that he didn't have any money to pay for his tab, so he was arrested and taken to jail. Ocala police said Stanage appeared to be intoxicated.
