What are some good games?

Recommended Posts

Dear Neowinians,

I recently have taken a liking to gaming. The only game I currently have is Vice City.

I have like eight hours of Calculus homework every day, so I would like to have a good game to play here and there.

For PS2 get Tekken that game is a great game to play if you have friends to play with. If gaming isn't their cup o tea Dance Dance Revolution is a pretty fun game to play alone and you can get in 'shape' doing it.

Natural Selection, which is a mod for HalfLife

I agree, good idea would be to get Half-Life first and then you can enjoy in tons of free mods like CS, NS, DoD etc..

def look into Return to Castle Wolfenstein (only if you have broadband)... its free game (download at www.3dgamers.com), online multiplayer only.. one of the few FPS games that keeps track of stats/eXPerience good graphics/doesnt require a great computer

IF you have calculus homework, DO NOT PLAY RPGS or anything addictive. You wouldnt be able to graduate....

Those games are day dream games... you think about them 24/7. I would recommend a more slow paced game like inidiana jones and the emperors tomb

8hrs??!!? I don't remember spending that much time studying calculus in college. Then again, I was majoring in Finance.

Anyway, I would check out something like UT2k3 Tourn. Since you really have no objective besides winning the current match, unless you're in a clan, you will have no committments to finishing the game. It was a blast for me to just jump in and play for an hr here and there. Just don't have the time anymore to play...I think joining a clan was the worst I could have done as I ended up spending more time playing the game than I would have liked.

Midnight Club 2 was a game that I seen nothing about the time I saw it in stores, but I heard the first one was a great game on the console, so I bought it (throwaway $70 on a chance for a great game) I bought it on my birthday and played it before my birthday dinner. I didn't like how the damn thing crashed when I changed the resolution, and the menu interface totally screamed console port (very difficult to control through a PC gamepad) In any case, I searched online and found out I had to modify a settings file to change the resolution, and that worked a lil better. But the grafix were choppy. I was so mad at this, I almost uninstalled. Then I started tweaking with the graphics settings. Turns out full screen effects will bog down the performance so bad, you ain't gonna be playin at the best fps. Anyways, now it works awesome, and I'm loving every minute of racing playtime. Controls could be better, but I mastered the flaws and I'm beating every track now. Awesome game.

PS can't wait for NFS's take on this genre of racing.
