shakey
I have transformers bluray. While watching the movie, during non action scenes, there are black bars at the top and bottom, but when action starts up, it goes proper full screen. Is this normal? I have tried 16:9 and Full Screen picture settings, both offer the same result. Is there a setting to make it always full screen? It really isn't a bother, but something if I could change, I would. Ironman273
I'm not sure about Transformers, but Dark Knight does that because of the scenes that were shot in IMAX. The more panoramic screens take up the full TV while the rest of the movie (mainly the talking parts) are letterboxed.
Coldgunner
Transformers 2 is supposed to do that if you got the IMAX version, as the IMAX scenes are 16:9, whereas the standard scenes are wider, and thus letterboxed.
shakey
ya, IMAX version is what I got. Cool, at least I know its something out of my control. Everything looks amazing, just was wondering what was up with that.
