Best Place to Pre Order UK

Recommended Posts

Just saw this thread and though I drop my thoughts in.

I saw a lot of recommendations for game. I used them very rarly. The delivery they can get on time but cost of a game they charge more then anywhere else mostly even with the reward points.

I use to use amazon but amazon never ship early and have it on your door step on day of release with the free shipping.

I used tesco, thehut.com, play.com and even HMV.com they all have some good prices and usually ship early and usually gets to my door step early.

I never had a problem with them and "Royal Mail" who deliver have been quite efficient at getting it to my door step ontime (please note this does not include when they are on strike).

I seen alot of people complain when they say its shipped but it does not turn up on time and end up blaming the wrong company (they should be placing blame on the delivery company for the failure to turn up ontime in most cases royal mail rather then play or thehut.com).

On the final note it is best to look arround. Most stores are competive and by launch will offer a good price. Never stay loyal to one company because you might be missing out on a good deal else where.

Why?

Play.com, thehut etc chose to use Royal Mail, and shipped it on x day, from x location.

Shopto & Gamegears are cheaper than Game by ?3-4 per game so the benefit from the reward card is negligible if at all useful. :)

I prefer the flexibility of the Reward Card though. You can get ?2.50 off pre-orders if you want as for each pre-order you get Double Points (Normally 800 for the Standard and 1000+ for the Collectors Editions), and for each ?2.50 off costs 1000 Points or you can save up the points and either take a substantial amount of the price of hardware or a game. :)
