First and foremost, I have been a Media Temple (gs) grid customer for about 2 weeks. As a web designer and developer, I was convinced that Media Temple's services were everything I would need out of a web host and more. I did my research prior to signing up, and while most of the reviews were old.. I decided to take my chances. I mean, it's only $20/month right? This purchase was a little experimental for me, as I also have an Intel quad core dedicated server with HiVelocity (which I'm extremely pleased with, minus the price tag of $130/month). After months of paying $130/month I finally came to my senses and realized that I wasn't even putting a dent in the processing capabilities of that server. On the other hand, it was putting a huge dent in my bank account; hence why I decided to shop around for other hosts. Anyhow, about my experience with Media Temple.
It's terrible. It takes forever to sync/download emails from their server. Not to mention their bandwidth must be extremely dry on either this node or the VLAN considering...

136KB/s? Seriously? I'm pretty sure my cable connection has a 3 mbit upload cap. I could potentially run a faster web server on my Pentium 4 I have sitting in my attic.
The 136KB/s reflects a DOWNLOAD from my dedicated server with a 100mbit port.
If you have have any trouble with your account, forget about getting support. Media Temple's 24/7/365 "PREMIUM" support is complete bull. You may be able to call them 24/7/365.... but good luck getting them to pick up. I called them earlier because my email accounts all of a sudden stopped working (and didn't for 5 hours prior to me noticing). This is the wait time... with another 30 people ahead of me!! I hung up.
If you're thinking about submitting a ticket.. try again. Right on their website:

I'm done, and most likely will stay with HiVelocity if I can work out a better deal on a cheaper server.
