Does This Exist?

Is there some sort of proxy program you could run on another machine that updates its list of **FAST** public proxy servers, and switchs between them, so that it appears like you are always using a different IP address?

I have seen programs for Windows that will push your browser - not your entire default gateway - through a proxy server, *IF* you manually enter in the address. So anyways, I would do that, and then, either the public proxy server would be very, very slow, or else it would go down... that is why I am looking for something automatic, where it is constantly updating public proxy lists, and constantly switching me around.

I'm not doing anything illegal here, but it would be nice to have a bit more privacy... especially for browsing the web, chatting with people, and P2P ( NO, just because you use p2p doesn't mean it is illegal conduct). If they really wanted to get your IP address, they could go to each one of the servers you proxied through and MAYBE get the previous proxy IP address, but that would be a lot of work, and that is the point - to discourage hackers and other people.

So is there anything like this that is free and automatic? Thanks

let me rephrase this then... alright, so having it jump around through proxy servers all the time wouldn't work... what i mean by this, is if one public proxy server got too slow to use or went down, it would be smart enough to select a new and fast public proxy server from a list of current public proxys............. see currently, i could enter in a public proxy server into IE, but after a day it goes down or is very slow, so I'd like a machine dedicated to updating this stuff all the time............... then, as long as the connection through the proxy is good, it doesnt' jump around, and I can go about chating or browsing or doing p2p

Multiproxy is the closest thing I've heard of. It would work good for browsing but P2p and chat I don't think it'd work well.
