The Scarecrow
I have a PS3 slim that I am streaming video content to but it doesn't seem the recognize MKV files. Does anyone know of a way to get it to see those file?
Piggy
How are you streaming the content? PS3 Media Server seems to do the job fine for me when it comes to MKVs. http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/downloads/list
Pegus
PS3 can't natively decode MKV. You require the server to transcode the file prior to streaming. As per above, PS3 Media Server is probably the best solution. Either that or convert your MKV files to another format like M2TS (which is just a diff container). still1
I am using a Windows 7 machine to access the movies. thats will not work since the file is shared to ps3 and ps3 dont have the capabilities to decode them. use ps3 media server. just install it and it will do everything for you. careless_monkey
I have a Mac and I was trying to use p3muxer which i googled. Turns out I cannot make audio to work. Video works just fine. Any other program that will help me convert mkv to m2ts? Thanks. :)
