Error 1935 with Office 10

Question

So I just got my Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit installed and I'm having an issue installing Office 10.

It'll install fine till about 85% and it throws an error. The error is 1935 and I can't get around it for anything.

I even tried installed Openoffice and it did the same thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Office 10 with Windows 7 Pro 64.

I followed all the directions on both pages and no luck.

NET 2.0 is already installed so it should work.

I need some serious help

Hi! in the office 10 installation CD/DVD can you find any folders like "X64" and "X86", normally if you use 64bit windows 7 to run setup.exe it will install 32bit office 10 for your PC, in order to install 64bit office you should go to X64 folder in office 10 setup CD/DVD, then run the setup.

Ah, that could well be it Zysfe. I'll check when I get home to see if it was installing the 32 bit version.

It was a fresh install of 7 ( week old maybe) and a fresh install of office.

Thanks, I'll let you know.

I went through and picked the 64-bit installation, get the same error.

I also get the error installing Openoffice 3.2 so I dunno.

Very frustrated, any ideas?

Ensure that there is no antivirus program running because it might interfere into the installation. Turn the system off and try reinstalling of Microsoft Office 2010 again. Then try installing by removing the previous application and storing it into a removable drive. The installation should be executable now. If the issue still persists it signifies that the license file might have become corrupt and they need to be fixed. It can either be done automatically or manually.

To do it manually log on to the system with the administrative username and password, open a Windows explorer window and click on ?tools?. Click on ?View? tab and view the hidden files and folders. Click on the option which says click to ?Clear the hidden extensions for known file types?. Open the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data\, right click on ?Data.dat? and click on properties. Select the security tab and permissions, select all the items in the ?Permissions? tab and click on ?Edit?. Select the full control box and ok. If you still find errors, follow the path: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data\ and delete the data.dat folder and restart the computer.
