I want to buy F1 and Gran Turismo when they release, will I need a wheel or does a controller do the job fine?? I have not played driving games on the ps3 yet, I am coming from the PC where a wheel was almost mandatory to play.

It's down to preference. If you've got the money and the space for a decent wheel, like the Logitech G25, then go for it, but you'll probably have to dedicate a lot of time to it before you come close to beating your controller times.

Personally, I prefer controllers. I did buy the official 360 wheel, but sold it a week later (on the plus side, I bought it for ?40 and sold it for ?60! :p ). I didn't really have the space for it, but if I could use it properly without any problems, I'd buy the G25/G27 in a heartbeat.

Thanks, I just want to make sure I am not throwing money away on a game if I use the controller
