+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted August 17, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted August 17, 2010 You won't have to wait until SOCOM 4 to see PlayStation Move owners duke it out with standard DualShock players. During Sony's Gamescom press conference, Zipper showed off an enhanced version of MAG which adds support for Sony's motion controller. Hopefully, someone will coordinate a 64v64 battle of the controllers to see exactly which control scheme reigns supreme, once this update goes live.In addition to MAG, another surprise announcement during the conference was Virtua Tennis 4. Sega's tennis franchise will be back next year to explore the sorely-underrepresented motion-controlled tennis genre. In addition to Move support, this entry will support 3D, as well. Check out a press release after the break. Hedon
To add to the MAG info, they are now adding support for 288 players, up to 256! As for VT4, I am looking forward to the Kinect support more. Supposedly allowing you to hold a real tennis racquet. We will see if it comes to fruition.

That's ****ing stupid in your living room not to mention it'll be far less responsive.
ahhell
Thit'll be far less responsive. And you know that how? Oh right, you don't.

I wouldn't do it in my home theater room (ceiling is too low), but you can do it in our rooms that have vaulted ceilings, as well as warehouses that we go in for big lans and big screens. Same goes for Tiger Wood golf, adding the ability to use your own clubs. It would be responsive.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted August 17, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 17, 2010 Maybe they should focus on fixing MAG first before adding Move support  As for using sports equipment with Kinect, the advantage is you don't need a prop at all! Hedon
That's the problem, Move (and Kinect both) is laggy and both really don't have 1:1. PR says otherwise. It's their job.

It's their job. Move will be far more responsive for VT than a camera trying to track a metal/plastic and rubber tennis racket. Not to mention putting topspin, backspin and curve to an almost 1:1 wrist action with Kinect will be difficult and laggy. Anyone arguing against me on that is indeed, a dolt.
