Sethos
It's like someone took a juicy cheeseburger, removed the top bun, the lettuce, the tomato, scrapped off the cheese and took a massive dump on the meat then blended what was removed and smeared it back on top of the freshly laid turd. Seriously, all this interactivity stuff is all well and fun but keep it out of these sort of games - It's awful and retarded. /rant. Hi mom! Hedon
I must be seeing a different video than AB. The one I see doesn't show the responsiveness of Move at all. Never once is the game play and the gentleman controlling the Move on the screen at the same time.
Corris Veteran Posted August 18, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 18, 2010 Looks a lot like th Metroid Prime 3 controls on the Wii, like, mostly the same just using the same movements for different things. Still, might be fun to play a couple of levels with it.
KoL Veteran Posted August 18, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 18, 2010 Responsive or not I'm not going to play the game with Move. Normal controller FTW!!1! :-P The level looks cool. :D
Hedon
Responsive or not I'm not going to play the game with Move. Normal controller FTW!!1! :-P The level looks cool. :D Agreed. The only reason to use Move is for Move only games. It's useless (and less accurate) to use them in hardcore games when the DS3 is the most responsive and has no lag. KZ3 looks to be more more KZ2, and that isn't a bad thing
Ayepecks
That looks God awful. Why anyone would play a traditional FPS (read: not designed specifically for motion control) with Move, Kinect or the Wii is beyond me.
ahhell
Adding Move to a game like this makes no bloody sense. I smell a big failure.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted August 18, 2010 Author Subscriber² Share Posted August 18, 2010 Two more videos http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gc-10-killzone-3/703082 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gc-10-killzone-3/703084 As for why it's quicker to move a pointer than an analog stick, so some may prefer it. Minifig
I'm going to hell for saying it, but why do the guns jerk like Michael J. Fox is holding them? I mean seriously, the guns don't even jerk that much in Wii titles..

This has to work with the constraints placed on it being controlled by a standard controller, which is why it makes no sense to even use Move on this. Ironman273
Killzone 3 as a game looks great but these videos make me think: 1) How can you say "looks very responsive" when we never see the Move controller and game video in the same frame? I'm not saying it's not responsive, just that the videos don't particularly show it as being responsive. 2) When the gun zooms in, it auto-locks on to the target? It seemed that whenever the gun sight turned red and he zoomed in it followed the target even as the target is falling. Wouldn't this cause some balance issues for those not playing with Move. And if a regular controller does it too... really? Aim-bot? Maybe it's a difficulty thing in single player only. 3) I came away with the impression that he was having a hard time with the controls, particularly in the second video at Gametrailers. I know it's a live demo and I guess you could get used to it, just doesn't seem very "intuitive" as he kept saying. 4) Let me preface this by saying that, again, Killzone looks great and I get the whole Move concept. But why are people still saying it's not a Wii HD? That's exactly what it is!! The control method is Metroid Prime with much nicer graphics!! Like Move or not just please call a spade a spade. Besides graphics I have not seen one difference between what a Wii can do and what Move can do.
Hedon
Which is why I have more of my money on Kinect, cause Kinect doesn't just stop at being an interface. I am getting it for the NXE integration as priority one. I'm going to hell for saying it, but why do the guns jerk like Michael J. Fox is holding them? I mean seriously, the guns don't even jerk that much in Wii titles.. Seriously dude, you had to go there with Michael? 1) How can you say "looks very responsive" when we never see the Move controller and game video in the same frame? I am sure you can figure out why they said it ;) 4) Let me preface this by saying that, again, Killzone looks great and I get the whole Move concept. But why are people still saying it's not a Wii HD? It is Wii HD. Just like Kinect is Wii HD without a controller.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted August 19, 2010 Author Subscriber² Share Posted August 19, 2010 The accuracy of this demo and the speed of the crosseye movement on the KZ3 demo made me say looks really responsive. Bet I'm right anyway, so meh at your comments
Ayepecks
And Move titles aren't specifically designed for... this? You don't comprehend what I said. This is a standard title with Move tacked on. It is not a Move-designed title. The game was designed with a standard controller in mind, not a motion controller. That's just setting it up for failure.

I've seen similar jerkiness on Move titles, such as the ripoff of Boom Blox (ah, thats right Tumble). While sensitivity is good, I think Sony may have laxed on their pathfinding. Motoko.
That vid is allot better than the previous ones you posted. It looks more synchronized than the Wii-mote but I just don't know for sure if that's what my eyes are telling me. I'd have to have it in my hands.
