+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted September 2, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted September 2, 2010 Sony announced today at its IFA 2010 press event a firmware update for PS3, which will allow 3D Blu-ray playback. It's set to arrive next month. According to Engadget, it is expected around 30-days from now, putting it around October 1 if our limited calculations are correct. Still, this should make those planning on purchasing Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and others in 3D, rather pleased. Providing, of course, they own a 3D-capable television. More through the link. AbandonedTrolley
Source: http://www.vg247.com...ing-next-month/ As much as people dislike the whole 3D idea. This is something that Sony got spot on with the PS3 making it pretty much futureproof and the ability to update the bluray player software.
