Kibler
Reading through the pdf for my SB Audigy card and it appears that it only has legacy drivers for Win98. So there is no way I can get sound in my classic dos games if I use XP? I am trying to play "Syndicate" and it runs like a charm in XP to my surprise but of course its not much good without any sound. Any help would be great, thanks. Oh, and I do have an old ISA Sound Blaster AWE32. Even if I use that I still wont be able to get dos sound will I? Kibler
MxxCon
i think you'll get sound if you select sb or sbpro or win audio system.
mtgriffith
Device manager says I have legacy drivers for my Audigy but I haven't figured out how to make it work for Duke Nukem yet. I don't play legacy games very often so I haven't tried very hard.
Keilo
it's not the OS that determine your legacy support, it's the sound card and it's driver that do the legacy sound. and looking at my system windows, audigy does have a legacy sound driver for XP. Kibler
Yeah I have "Legacy Audio Drivers" listed as well but if you click the properties tab there is nothing listed. Assuming it is there, how do I know what DMA and IRQ and IO Address to give to the dos game? Kibler
