Sushubh
My work involves a lot of searching on Google and copying its results. What kinda work is that? well forget that... its another story. Now about my question... Google shows the results in the form of normal hyperlinks without any provision for it to record what the user actually clicks out of a normal search result. For eg. if you search for my name 'Sushubh' the second result is the hyperlink to the address: http://www.sushubh.com/dudes.html but since the last few days I have noticed, for few minutes randomly each day... the google results are displayed in such a way that the addresses are forwarded using a google url that mean google is now thinking of tracking the links user actually clicks for a search result like most other search engines do. Not a very big deal i think, but anyone has any ideas, information on this? Is it new or its been like that always? the strange thing is that the process of this new URLs last a few minutes... One of the sample result I just got a few minutes ago! http://www.google.com/url?sa=U&start=1&q=h...fjd.html&e=1102 Well, if google do rate the more clicked url preference in the search results, that might be awesome in some ways... though it is one easy way to increase ur position in google preferences.
