+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted September 11, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted September 11, 2010 Earlier today while browsing Walmart.com I came upon a curious entry for a Ico/Shadow of the Colossus pre-order! I haven't been able to dig up anyone else offering a pre-order on this item. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus originally hit PS2 back in 2001 and 2005, respectively. The game's designer Fumito Ueda, is currently working on his new PS3 title: The Last Guardian. The listing states the game will be coming out 04/01/2011 and at a price of $39.82. There have been numerous rumors stating that the HD re-release would be coming out around Q1 2011. If true the Collection would come out just in time to help promote The Last Guardian. With all the success that the God of War HD collection had, it seems more then likely it IS coming out. I hate to say that this is confirmation but one can hope! Head over to Eurogamer.net to see some stunning videos of both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus being rendered in HD. Corris Veteran Posted September 12, 2010 Veteran Share Posted September 12, 2010 First day buy, you know, aslong as I had the money. SotC is one of my top fav games up there with Super Metroid, but if they whip it out in HD and make it look great for a last gen up-resd game I would happily buy it again as a collection. Eric Veteran Posted September 12, 2010 Veteran Share Posted September 12, 2010 Good. Maybe the PS2 version of ICO will come down. I want it, but not for more than it was when it was new.
Ironman273
So this (and God of War) was the long term plan for removing backward's compatibility from the PS3? ;)
