mr.dan
first off i have a netgear mr814 wireless +4 port 10/100 router. i am wired in through the hub and not on the wireless framework. i am DMZ on the router so i don't understand why its not working. i can connect to IRC just fine and recieve DCC send requests, but when i accept them, i get connection failed. how do i configure my router to allow me to recieve DCC sends? Roger H. Veteran Posted July 23, 2003 Veteran Share Posted July 23, 2003 you shouldn't have to.... DCC problem is only with sends...it should work just fine. They are prolly the cause of it cuz routers don't block those even if you weren't DMZ... i can recieve from any IRC channel but just can't send cuz the router blocks the connection back to me untill i DMZ my PC. So tell them to check their stuff or maybe that bot isn't working
mr.dan
hmm you were right shotta. i just recently purchased my router (within the last month or so) and i thought i had already used mIRC on it to recieve files, and apparently i was right. i had to go through about 4 bots before i found one that was working though. PCKing
If you are DMZ then nothing should get blocked, unless you have a firewall on your pc...
Roger H.
