30 FPS blink.gif

Ueda said in his conference he is making them 30 FPS because that's what he originally designed them as

Take that for what you will.

damn, so many Ico/SotC threads on this forum I posted the trailer in the wrong one

Also, what's wrong with 30fps for these types of games? They're not shooters or racers

Damn, I was hoping that SotC would be a little more clearer and that the view distance would have improved, that but trailer doesn't make it seem so..... Maybe it is just the monitor and video, and on TV it will be much better. Still going to get this :)

I must be the only one not impressed by the visuals of these games or The Last Guardian.

Nevertheless if the price is right I will finally pick them up together.

Certainly are there sir.

Why do they both look so Washed out?

Probably to do with the fact that they are PS2 games, they can up-res to kingdom come, but in the end it is still an engine that was designed for a PS2 that you can only do so much with to bring it up to HD without having to re-work large parts of it.

The games looked nice back when they came out, but you play either on anything but a tube type TV and you see all the imperfections that are usually hidden by that natural blur the TV gave everything.

Apparently it's called "realism" :p

I prefer to call it "bull****ism" ;)

Tis true though, doesn't bother me if you disagree. The games look washed out in white and the only excuse I can think of is "realism". Can't be technical reasons seeing as The Last Guardian even looks washed out, unless they are saying they've pushed to the limits of the PS3?

played both, and I am excited for both of these, especially SotC, mainly because it was too demanding of a gamee for the PS2 and suffered horrible framerate spikes because of it.
