+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted September 23, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted September 23, 2010 Netflix announced its streaming movie service is launching in Canada for PlayStation 3 today. Canadian users can now watch an unlimited amount of movies and TV episodes for $7.99 a month. They will not be required to insert the instant-streaming Netflix disc, and instead access the service directly through PS3's cross media bar. Netflix will soon be launching a French language option, too. PS3 Netflix users in the United States will have to continue using the disc until next month when the instant-streaming application launches. AbandonedTrolley
I want a service like this in the UK, surely Blockbuster or Lovefilm would be up for it!

LoveFilm seem to be really pushing their digital distribution these days, I think it's only a matter of time

SaltLife
+1 once the get more stuff I'll consider subscribing (and dropping my cable).I need shows like House and stuff (released on the same week as it airs on tv) Highly doubt that will happen anytime soon. They (not netflix) make to much off of those darn rentals from iTunes/Amazon... But honestly, once you don't have cable for a while it doesn't matter. I have been cable free for over a year or so now. I did purchase a digital tuner so I get OTA local stations.... So I do get to see some shows right away, but others I'm a season or two behind. I just wished they had a better horror selection for streaming. I miss my fearnet lol

SaltLife
I would have went cableless a long long time ago but my fiancee likes to watch channels like the Food network, TLC, etc etc and I don't know how I could replace that without cable LMAO I know what you mean... I had the same problem, my wife wouldn't do it because of HGTV but she finally caved when I said I'd move her to a beach house if she would. Of course, you might not want to do something as extreme lol She started watching them online and you don't miss them once you don't have them.... The cool thing is, we did start having our "TV Night" because we could only watch certain things at a specific time since we didn't have DVR/OnDemand so it makes it more enjoyable to have time together, rather than just being able to watch whenever. Sometimes we feel like we are in the 60's great for the kids too (if you have any)
