newsend
I saw a list once. I think it was on the RIAA webiste. It's a very big list. It was nearly all of the labels I have ever heard of.
drewster2100
what, so every damn band is pretty much with them? like automatically?
Qwakui
The RIAA is a collaborative association of the record labels, not the bands themselves.
kidd0
I heard in a Bow Wow song the other day, "R - I - A - A" and I immediately played the song about 10 times, and then renamed it to eww and trashed it.

poind
Interesting list. I was actually surprised to see Righteous Babe Records on there -- the personal label of Ani DiFranco, known for all her anti-establishment, "I Can Be the Million You Never Made" stuff. Wonder if pretty much every record label finds it virtually mandatory to join for some reason. Does anyone know if the RIAA actually has ever done anything other than maybe throw an annual convention or something?

Arch
probley not, they just sit back and collect their money. they probley serve some purpose though. They "protect the artist's rights" or something along those lines. For example: they send out hundreads of warnings of legal action to those who they think are 'stealing' their music.
