Administrators Posted October 7, 2010 Administrators Share Posted October 7, 2010 Timan has added a landing page for PriceGrabber, so you are not transported away from Neowin unless you actually want to browse the shop. It fits better with the style of Neowin, and we've only included the Computer category as the landing page. PriceGrabber is a service that, when used by our readers for purchasing, Neowin will get a commision on any sales that take place through our partner site. Of course this is totally optional and adds a service that we would otherwise not have. As many of you know, times are tough and we constantly have to look for ways to bring in revenue for the site, and as with the last ten years we will never do popups and try to keep our advertising as unobtrusive as possible. Tier 2 subscribers do not see the PriceGrabber link, so here is an explanation of the changes with pictures: Menu: Jumplist to (computer related) categories added. Clicking on PriceGrabber takes you to our landing page. Landing Page: Looks like this: https://www.neowin.net/pricegrabber/ (link for those who have hidden it). Thanks for your support. Though I still feel PriceGrabber should be in the Services drop-down menu or renamed to something like Store (then have a lil "Powered by PriceGrabber logo" in the drop-down menu). Meh.
