Internet Explorer 8 Issue

Question

When trying to load http://mesquiteisd.org/nmhs in IE8 (i'm not sure if this happens in 7 but it doesn't in 9) an error message comes up saying "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://mesquiteisd.org/nmhs" Operation Aborted. When i close the alert a "IE cannot display the webpage" page comes up and the only way to use IE again is to restart it.

I have no idea why this is happening, I'm not sure when it started but this has to be fixed ASAP, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Confirmed here. It'll be a fault in the page's code somewhere.

To workaround it, load the page, then press ESC (stop loading) and it will at least give you half a page to view...

Perhaps you could start by fixing the 23 errors in the page.

Yeah, having an invalid markup report does not render the site to crash in a browser. In fact I looked at the errors: a lot of them had to do with the fact that he didn't use & over & in URLs. So those 23 errors? They're actually just 6 if you take away the ampersand issue. And no surprise here: those six issues wouldn't have resolved the problem he actually has.

Telling someone to validate their markup isn't the resolution here.

I don't remember typing "fix these errors and the problem will go away". Perhaps you should quit evaluating others responses and stick with helping people.
