I had this idea about a month ago when iTunes 10 came out and shortly thereafter I started writing up this little app that aims to streamline the bloated Apple-provided installer. Today, I’m proud to introduce (and release) the first public beta of this app.

It lets you select which exact apps you want to install and I think it's overall less bloated than the default installer. I'll be updating this often in order to incorporate your feedback, so keep it coming!

There's no other requirement than .NET Framework 4. At the moment 64-bit editions aren't supported yet, they will with the next refresh. Beta refresh is out, with 64-bit support

And, out of interest, what happens when a new version of iTunes is released? Does your app still work with it?

For now I'll have to update it, which I expect to do within a few hours. I might get it to download from Apple's website and extract automatically later on.
