mtgriffith
The recovery console is pretty worthless.
Jon
The recovery console is very useful!!!!! How else would you fix the mbr should it become corrupt, say for example you were getting the error after post 'NTLDR not found!'. That error prevents you from getting to the point where you can use a restore point, so the only option is boot from the cd, and run fixmbr at the recovery console. I arrest my case. ;) //edit. Thats soooo ment to be rest my case isnt it? funnier to prove me stupid and leave it there tho :p Jon
Truman
its also useful for removing linux from a system, just delete the linux partitions and type FIXMBR in the recovery console and it will remove the linux boot thing.
