ben_b
Is there anyway for me to keep track of a remote dynamic IP address?
ike
www.no-ip .com (no space) is just one way of many, get a hostname with them (like yourname.no-ip .com) and they have a client you can use to automatically update every 5 minutes or so.
ben_b
Key word "remote" I don't have accsses to the PC to put the little refresher thing on and the person that owns the PC is not smart enough to put it on there PC. Any other ideas?
thingsforjason
are you hax0rc1ng tehm? :D anyway, just have them feed you the IP as you need it. or that no-ip software is insanely easy to install.
OPaul
I wouldn't think it would be possible, if the IP is changing all the time you have no way of keeping track of that unless you contact the ISP or put something on the machine that tells you the IP. Any other ideas? key words "you didn't say that" they have to install something in order for it to work properly. no-ip software is very easy to install. you can walk them through the whole thing. if they have XP you may consider remote assistance. NeoMayhem
Many routers let you post your dynamic ip to the web so you can see it :p
