the ones in the movie dont cost THAT much, most were just body kitted and screwed on nos buttons.

krux, if you say the skyline costs 30k, are you gonna move to japan? or stay in the states, dumbass. its the same as buying a viper in japan, ooo its only 80k, but it costs a **** load to import. same as importing a skyline into the US. the only reason people buy it, is because it is a true import, not because its fast. its not THAT fast. its fast for a japanese car though. and also, when you drive a car like that, why do you care about gas mileage? if you have the money to import it, you can spend a little extra on the gas, geez. and if my math is right, buying then importing the skyline, would make it cost more than the viper. cept this skyline you import, is some crappy pos. stock, then you have to mod it. if the japanese could build a 500hp engine without turbors, cudos to them, but they cant. japanese engines have always been weak. stock. most i've seen is what, 300 hp? they just dont make anything higher stock. they like the fuel economy ^_^.

i'd buy a viper over the skyline anyday, especially the older model vipers, i like the curves

Heh, the 3G Eclipse Spyder makes us Mitsubishi guys look bad.. they're heavy as hell, slow, etc... gotta love the movie that inserts the sound of a turbo under the hood, but when they actually show under the hood on the movie, no turbo! bwahaha.. funny stuff nontheless, and really, that's not an EVO in the movie.. just a standard Lancer that they slapped EVO on..

Well you seem to make fun of the cars that are modded (or riced in your view) which have wings, different side panels, and body kits...but the

car you posted has all these.

Edit:  Also, whatever the hell that thing is on the hood (intake or something) can be thrown in there too.

well i hate asian cars, there is one asian car that i like the older model impreza rally car.

and MG is not modded its stock, and its British with a American hearth

well im pretty sure the wing and the air ducts/vents serve a functional purpose on the MG race car since it is a V8 pushing 465hp unlike rice cars with 150hp that have carbon fiber hoods, air ducts and 3ft high spoilers for.... cant think of a valid reason except for wasting money

true

...some of you have no idea what the definition of rice is. Being an Asian car does not make it "rice." Ever hear of domestic rice? Oh don't get me started :D

Domestic Rice is america's try to out sell import crap. But you cant really call it rice. Someone made a comment about how Mitshubishi owned Dodge. Mitshubishi never nor will they ever own Dodge. Back in the day, Chrysler and Mitshubishi used to have a contract with one another. They used parts, pieces, engines all that happy horse crap. Why do you think the Dodge Stealth and 3000GT look alike? Or the Eclipse and the Lazer look alike? Back in the early 90's Dodge actually used to own Lamborghini. But that fell short quickly after. Now, Mercedes owns Chrysler. Hey, now what are you guys talking about the Charger? First of all lets get this straight. In "The Fast And The Furious" good old Vin Diesel has a 1969 Charger. Though it had parts and pieces from a 70 Charger (ie the grill). In "2 Fast 2 Furious" the orange muscle car is a 1970 Dodge Challenger. IT did infact have a Hemi in it. Just because there is a R/T symbol on it doesnt mean it has a 440. The Hemi's came with that striping to. Its just a 70 Challanger R/T w/ a 426 Hemi.

Actually it was a conjunction between Mitsubishi, Eagle, and Plymouth known as Diamond Star Motors (DSM) that you were trying to refer to.. only some nonturbo versions of the Eclipse came with the Chrysler motor. ;)

That, OR, you can get a kickass Mustang Coupe for the same $30K, which outperforms it in every way! What's a Lancer got over a Mustang, doesn't look as good, isn't as fast, and the name isn't as good eit:Dr :D

u might be surprised to know that Lambo desinged the first gen stealths (91-93) as well, lambo did some engineering work on the first gen 8L viper motor :)

as for the Challenger/Charger mistake... well, where im from its hard to get some decent knowledge on american muscle cars considering everyone here drives some sort of 4banger jap or european car. Theres also the fact that Hemi's are virtually impossible to find at local strips and what not, though i did once see a beautiful semi-restored Road Runner ripping around town :)
