Sierra
Hey, the Access log file for my HP just showed this: 8: 0,01%: 0: : 0,042: 0,01%: field blocked by outpost (http://www.agnitum.com) Does it mean, someone couldn't access my site 'cause Outpost blocked it???

Sierra
need more info. are you hosting a site on the HP? what is agnitum.com? Found out a little bit.... It's my domain c0c0.de ... and the subdomain I created is sierra.c0c0.de. Someone accessed the subdomain 8 times but couldn't actually get on it because his (???) firewall called outpost (agnitum made it) blocked the access to it. I'm just wondering what the reason for that was because it's just a normal page, simple html ...
hurting101
Doesn't that just mean Outpost hid the referrer? http://www.google.com/search?q=%22field+bl...le%3Astatistics Edited July 28, 2003 by hurting101

+BudMan MVC Posted July 28, 2003 MVC Share Posted July 28, 2003 From a quick look - I would say his firewall blocked access to your site - since you are using some kind encode fuction? I like the top of your document --> <!-- doctype html invisible "-//W3C//DTD HIDDEN" --> Who is that suppose to fool?? But then the page is encoded with some function. The firewall has some issue with the function would be my guess - not being able to scan it for stuff, so it just blocks it?? I am curious what you this is so special about your html code - that you feel its some kind of extra protection from people viewing it???? you sure he did not get access - or his firewall just blocked info from him to your log? Sierra
Sorry, but it's not like this to fool someone... I just don't want people to use download managers. If there's a better way let me know ;)
MitchShrader
Dunno if yer 'right' to make yer code invisible.. or if it 'works' far as prevention of the motivated.. but i strongly agree you should do so if you wish. Confusion to the enemy, liberty for all and free beer tomorrow! Up the revolution..

If there's a better way let me know ;) Huh?? Download managers for what?? Do you have files available for download? What are you worried someone will do, exactly?? I have to admit I didn't look at your site much. It's the size of a postage stamp!!! what is that 640x480? But you can encode your site all day long, that does not keep people from downloading all your pictures?? If that is what your attempting stop?? I agree you have the right to protect your code - I just didn't see anything on there worth protecting?? I did not see anything fancy in the page, that someone would want to steal?? I'm going to make a huge site now and hope this 1 person will finally get access... Is it really a big deal to click on a thumbnail to see a wallpaper in a new window instead of starting a download manager and select 'download all jpg's' ????
