Vortex566
This weekend I had someone gain unauthorised access to my account. They spent ?100 and bought a number of PSP titles. They forgot to change the email address, so I got an email while away in London stating that purchases had been made. The first thing I did was contact my CC company and cancel the card. Then I emailed Sony, the reply was to give them a call. It turns out that I won't be able to get my ?100 back unless I have my console banned from going online, or I phone the police and try and find the person with the .cn address who got access to my account. I understand that once something it bought on PSN refunds are not permitted, but in this case fraud has clearly been committed. My options are as follows: have a PS3 which is unable to be used online and get ?100 back or loose ?100 and have a PS3 that I can use online. What would you lovely people do? What would you lovely people do? usually... they shouldn't be able to spend anything if they logged into your account from a different console, unless they already knew all your CC info. When logging into anothers account, it ask for you to enter in the CC number, and if you can't/dont, it only gives them access to your account, and deletes all personal data related to billing... Someone would either have all your CC info already, or it was done on your console.
x9248
Get your money back. If Sony wants to be *******s and not let you online then you have no reason not to take some of that money and buy a USB jailbreak to teach them a lesson :p
