How much did the Playstation 2 generate/spend?

How was the PS2 a trend? It was a product. If anything, the trend would be video games.

I think its about time they renamed iTunes. It doesn't make sense for it to be called iTunes, I've been thinking about it for 2 weeks.

I mean they have the App Store, iBook Store, iTunes and TV Shows/Movies. Its stupid to amalgamate it and call it iTunes.

So the big problem you is with the iTunes store having multiple stores in it?

Why no mention of movies and tv series? :p

I see it as a bigger problem that their media player happens to also be besides a giant store of which half is things for the mobile devices the media player is also handling :p

Wish the would have put all the iDevice handling in a separate program to begin with, would probably have worked out better, the again i would hate to have every part of it split into it's own app, i hate how it is in iOS where iTunes is the iTunes store, iPod is the name of the media player (which for some odd reason doesn't treat metadata the same, one would think that had an internal standard at least), and the even though you have the iTunes store in the app named iTunes the Appstore and iBook store which are usually part of iTunes is in their separate apps... complete mess :p

I get the feeling that it is going to be The Beatles (about which neither I could give a ****). People keep saying that the hands of the clocks don't correspond exactly to the arms of the band members on the Help! cover, but they seem to be overlooking the fact that there are five hours between EST and GMT, so the positions of the clock hands are determined by the EST timing of the announcement.

It really is pathetic to put this on the home page. The statement says it's going to be something BIG for EVERY (you) itunes user... it's a small minority who are going to enjoy this.

I really hope this isn't the full announcement, if it is they are definitely getting over excited about their hype up marketing strategy, they will kill its credibility if they keep doing it for little things.

The reality distortion field is powered by hype alone so they kinda have to.

I don't think it will be the Beatles... that may be just something to distract you.

I stated the statement a bit wrong, sorry :)

The Playstation 2 (The Playstation brand) sold alot of units and alot was spent on advertising/making/etc. A bit after, a better and more powerful console the Xbox (The Xbox brand) came out but the "trend" was still to go for the Playstation 2....

...now the Playstation brand (The Playstation 3) (trend) has/is dying (yet it is a better and more powerful console, the Playstation 3) and the Xbox brand (The Xbox 360) (trend) has/is taking over.

Thats what I pretty much ment. Sorry again for not making it clear as I expressed it incorrectly.

 now that was funny, ignorant but funny, there are millions of iPods sold, so there are millions of iTunes users (very few are tech savvy enough to use another iPod manager) and also it is the biggest online music retailer whether you like it or not, so, yes, if its iTunes it?s BIG.

I think he was more like referring to the Beatles-rumor than iTunes in general. ;)

Ahead of Apple's planned announcement scheduled for about half an hour from now that has been expected to see content from The Beatles finally come to the iTunes Store, that content has already gone live. The offerings are headed by The Beatles Box Set, offering a total of 256 songs and other items, including iTunes LP mini-documentary features and a video of the band's first U.S. concert, all for $149.00.

Individual albums are also available, with the majority of them priced at $12.99 and a few others including "The White Album" and several greatest hits collections available for $19.99. Songs are generally also available on a per-track basis priced at $1.29 each.

I still hope that's not all, though.

I appreciate what the Beatles have done for music but it's not what I like to listen to. And even if I would, I'd likely already have some of the Albums.

I still think there's something more to come...
