+Frank B. Subscriber² Posted November 18, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted November 18, 2010 Impatient as I am I looked around the Adobe ftp server to see if Adobe Reader X is available yet. It is: Look under ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/mac/10.x/ for the Mac OS X version, and under ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/ for the Windows version. Or just wait for it to hit the website. Screenshots: Installation: Yes, it uses a lot of disk space for a PDF reader. Dock icon: User interface: Native UI elements? Who uses native UI elements? Not Adobe.
De.Bug
Whats the difference between this and Adobe Reader 11 or whatever version it is? It looks the same to me except I have windows.
bjoswald
Nice find, Meph. I also hate programs that don't blend within the environment. Also, what kind of performance improvements have you noticed, if any?
Buendia
Whoa! It occupies almost 500MB. I'll stick with the 10MB PDF-X Change Viewer.

Neo003
Downloaded MSI (44.8 MB) and Installed in Windows 7. After opeining Reader X alone memory it takes is 16 MB and after opening 662 KB file it's about 48 MB (maximized windows @ 1920x1080). On the disk Reader folder is about 151 MB (revo shows 156 MB). Adrian0E
I guess the server is busy... This webpage is not available. The webpage at ftp://ftp.adobe.com/...eader/win/10.x/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. Error 601 (net::ERR_FTP_FAILED): Unknown error. Or is out to smoke. Edit: Well... My mistake. Works in Opera but not in chrome.
Chasethebase Reporter Posted November 18, 2010 Reporter Share Posted November 18, 2010 Interesting that they've updated the dock icon but not the document icons, they're still in the same style as CS2. :(
