Why Star Wars is better than Star Trek

Recommended Posts

10) In the Star Wars universe, weapons rarely, if ever, set

on "stun."

9) The Enterprise needs a huge engine room with an anti-matter

unit and a crew of twenty just to go into warp--the Millennium

Falcon does the same thing with R2-D2 and a Wookie.

8) After resisting the Imperial torture droid and Darth Vader,

Princess Leia still looked fresh and desirable--after pithy

Cardassian starvation torture, Picard looked like hell.

7) One word: lightsabers.

6) Darth Vader could choke the entire Borg empire with one

glance.

5) The Death Star doesn't care if a world is class "M" or not.

4) Unlike Kirk, or Riker - Luke Skywalker not obsessed with

sleeping with every alien woman he encounters.

3) Jabba the Hutt would eat Harry Mudd for trying to cut in

on his action.

2) The Federation would have to attempt to liberate any ship

named Slave I.

1) Picard pilots Enterprise through asteroid belt at one-quarter

impulse power. Han Solo floors it.

More sexy alien women in Star Trek though! And I'm sorry a female wookie wouldn't do it for me.

I dunno...with the right outfit and makeup, a female wookie could be pretty inticing ;)

Ah, good one, but I still like Star Trek more (at least The Next Generation).

Star Wars is a little campy for my tastes.

That one is funny...

But look at Anni Skywalker, that horny teenager needs to get it onnnnn...

Whoever said sleeping with every woman in the galaxy is bad?

Star Trek is pimp;)

They both have their strong points, but I love, and always have loved, Star Trek. Cool ships, some fantastic characters, CONSISTENCY and some actual SCIENTIFIC BELIEVABILITY made it appeal to me much more than Star Wars. Don't get me wrong, the Star Wars movies are cool...but I only want to see them a couple times a year at most.

What people have to remember, though, is that they are really entirely different types of entertainment. I usually say that the only thing Star Trek and Star Wars have in common is that they take place in space, and I think that is true. Star Wars is very fairy-tale-ish, very "knight in shining armor", overly dramatic and colorful with old-world dialougue (hampered recently by some of the most horrible acting I've EVER seen). Star Trek is meant to be modern and more realistic, more human, with interesting plot lines that can and do tie together into one big Star Trek "universe." It truly is one of the most fully developed environments in any genre, with all sorts of rules and historical events that at one point or another tie together. I guess that's what I like the most. And yes, Next Gen was fantastic...there will never be another like Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard...or Data...

OK, as someone who enjoys both Star Wars and Star Trek, and prefers the latter, I have to say: this was great! :D
