Hispanic82023
My friend was a victim of a virus attack and lost 3000+ worth of mp3's. Anyway, he feels it is time to format and install another OS. He had WinME. His computer isn't anything special. It is a P3-500MHz with 192MB of ram Hewlett Packard computer. When I installed ram on his system a few years ago, I remember seeing the VIA logo on the motherboard. I don't own a via based motherboard myself. But I know that there are a lot of vital files for it like the 4-in-1 drivers and all that. Are those needed when he installs Winxp, or is that only for Athlon systems. Thanks. Sonnyr
XP has Via's 4 in 1 drivers and will install them for you. Since the Mobo is a little old, there should be no need to update them.
