Help with setting up One-Way Internet

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I just ot a new DVB-IP One-Way Internet Link. Its from Hawaii Teleport and this does not connect using a VPN as other such links do. I have installed a Pent@Value DVB Card in my computer running Windows XP. There are 2 ethernet cards installed in this box. I plan to uplink using my LAN which gives me internet at the moment. I detail my setup here:

WinXP Box:

ETH1 (Connecting to my proposed Uplink Source): IP = 172.16.0.5, Subnet = 255.255.0.0, Gateway = 172.16.0.1 and DNS = 172.16.0.1

ETH2 (Not Used but there)

IPs from HPT

PID: 0309 Hex (777 Decimal)

MAC Address: 00-30-6A-80-99-28

IP Block: 202.4.182.0

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.248

First Usable: 202.4.182.1

Last Usable: 202.4.182.6

DNS Servers: 168.215.210.50 and 207.170.210.16

I have tried everything. But i am still upping and downing from my LAN only and not using the DVB card for a single bit alse .

I have ensured that my satellite position is perfect. I am able to lock on to the satellite with a signal strength of above 45%.

But i am still not getting anything from DVB Card.

Please Please Please help me. Any websites. Any other information will be highly appreciated.

TIA

Sumit
