eaglebtc
I am considering buying an older iPod on ebay. 5GB model, first generation. If I have FireWire and the 1.3 software update from Apple, can I use this on my Windows machine? I have XP.
amoeba
Yes, you can use them on Windows. They're quirky but there's software out there like EphPod that allow you to access them. It's basically a tool to read HFS+ (iPod format and all Mac format) on a Win32 platform. EphPod is the one I know works and works well enough.
