Wow. All this makes me want to go and hunt down the PC versions, now that I have a decent video card. :D

Thanks guys, this turned out better than I expected. :)

I would probaley have to say either 6 or 8, I thought 8 even though the Junction system was a bitch for beginners was a nice idea and the story for 8 was great, I liked how it was actually challenging unlike the others. Adel still remains the toughest boss i have gone against only cause i had low physical attack and any powerful attack hurt Rinoa

FF7, FF3 were the classics. No one can take away the joy of the SNES and original PS! Materia is why the game was sooo good *drool. :D

Who can say that SNES was god, becuase it was. Despite its lacking in graphics this was the basis for all my console playing days, and began my addiction to RPGs.

Thank you Squaresoft and Nintendo!@#

Well said. They and FFX are the bombs of the FF world.

Did anyone find FFX, "fall over sideways" boring...

Not to mention that piece of filth that somehow worked its way into the FF category!

NES:

FF1 - Good

FF2 - Bad

FF3 - Good (Best)

SNES

FF4 - Good

FF5 - Good (Best)

FF6 - Good

PS

FF7 - Good (Best)

FF8 - Bad

FF9 - Good

SNES days are best.

I don't own anything beyond the PlayStation series...

The first one on the SNES (II in the US) is by far the best then III (US). When it went to the playstation they fused magic and technology and the series went down hill. That's just my personal opinion ... take it with a grain of salt as the saying goes.
