swissdude
How do I make an AI file that works in Cinema4d? I've tried some ways to make my own font/letter in photoshop - then export it into AI Then save it in Illustrator and make it show in Cinema4d but it never works - I've done it before but forgot how I did Inspiration from this tutorial - http://abduzeedo.com/tron-legacy-tutorial
0 Starbuck84
In Illustrator, make sure everything is converted to paths. Export your document as an AI 3.x compatible file and it works like a charm. :)
0 swissdude
I'm really bad with Illustrator What I did was ... made my text logo in Photoshop Made Paths out of it - WORK PATH Export as Illustrator Tried to bring it into Cinema4d and it didn't show it Is there a way to do it from Photoshop rather than use Ill? 0 Starbuck84
Not that I know of. 3dsmax and Cinema4D work with old AI importers, and all they accept are pure paths. And the only file that's guaranteed to bring you just that is the AI 3.x file format. You don't really need to do a whole lot in Illustrator. Just launch Illustrator, open your AI file which you created with Photoshop. Go to File - Export... and select Illustrator 3.x compatible file. And the result should show up nicely in Cinema4D. Where it says "Adobe Illustrator 7.0" in the image file, make sure you change that to "Adobe Illustrator 3.0". I don't have Illustrator on this PC, so I just copied an image from Google. :)
