+BudMan MVC Posted August 5, 2003 MVC Share Posted August 5, 2003 Um - maybe they are down?? Maybe you are going to the wrong ip? Just because your DNS has cached an entry, does not mean anything. Do a whois to the domain, get their Authoritative Nameserver - then dig or nslookup query their name server for the IP address of the host your looking for, be it www, etc.. I love that people have turned off icmp - real great for troubleshooting purposes :) From your trace stop at 207.218.245.42 - is this inside the owner(s) of where your trying to goes network, or not? PM the site your trying to get too - and I'll see if they are up. Can you get to the site through a proxy? Maybe they just banned your IP :) edit: well if I read your hidden spam message correctly - I get to that site just fine. I got an ip address of 64.246.62.80, but if you hit that IP address you get another page. So they are being hosted with host headers. What IP address do you have for them? vip
the same that you have 64.246.62.80 everyone else can get to it also .. dunno why i would be banned, all i do is download new beta files, posted on the site a few times about bugs and such :/ edit: i don't get another page, i just get 'connection timed out when connecting to such and such

John Veteran Posted August 5, 2003 Veteran Share Posted August 5, 2003 tell your ISP you can't get to the site, ask them to look into it. if it works via a proxy server, the site is up, you just can't access it from your ISP.
