Steam 2010 Christmas Sale

Recommended Posts

I just got Resident Evil 5 for myself and 4 friends, Fear complete pack for myself, The Witcher for myself, and Deus Ex Game of the Year and Deus Ex Invisible War for myself.

Yes, it's been an expensive day

The witcher is excellent. Grab it while you can.

I already preordered The Witcher 2.

Totally agree with this, get the witcher, you wont be disappointed, burnout paradise is also a great deal.

Word to the wise, Burnout runs like crap on Win7. Check the forums over on Steam to read the stories yourself.

Ran fine when I played it...

I've read more in the past when I was tempted in a sale. It's a trash port, not least because of the poor performance but the console versions have more content.

Hm, that's odd. I remember commenting to myself that it was one of the best optimized games i had ever played. The graphics looked superb on my old 9600 and ran at constant 60 fps with no issue.

Go firgure. But at least you guys can see I'm not making it up, the game has a lot of issues. If the price is low enough you can over look them then cool.

I wanted to get BC2 but Steam wouldn't let me :/ it just spat an error... until the deal was over :/

The last day of the sale usually collates everything that was on sale. You'll have another chance.

So tempted to pick up the Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box. Loved it on the 360, never came close to finishing it, and pretty sure I am getting the GT wheel for GT for the PS3, which is PC compatible, so would be perfect for using with Burnout. Decisions, Decisions. Will sleep on it, and who knows, maybe someone will gift it to me as a birthday present. shiftyninja.giflaugh.gif

Those threads dont say anything about windows 7, as you mentioned initially. Well, that stinks, hope there's a work arounn

Is the Enhanced Edition of the Witcher the same as the director's cut? (ie gore/nudity) Or is that still a patch for NA users?

Yeah, it's the same. You might have to "opt in" to get the Enhanced stuff but it's the same. Or maybe that was for the directions cut content, I forget.

Must...resist...temptation...LOL

I have The Witcher in my wish list so I've been meaning to buy it for awhile now.

So far I've picked up Mass Effect 1 & 2, Bad Company 2, Football Manager '11, and Dragon Age: Origins. Oh...what's 1 more game!

is it really so hard to believe? I don't have some vendetta here against the game or Win7. Just letting people know it has issues. I'm not about to start searching through the Steam forums for the ones I read which did mention Win7 (it was months ago during a summer sale), if you want to read them you can do that yourself :p

I wish they'd put Civ 5 on sale. :(

Agreed

From past experience...About 2 year after you buy them, with that gap expanding exponentially as you buy more games during next years sale
