Just bought some new speakers...

...and I just might go insane before they get here!

I somehow managed to talk myself into getting the very nice Klipsch RF-82 II Home Theater system! I'll be upgrading (if you can even call it that) from the Klipsch HDT1000. I got what I think is an awesome deal. The normal price for the package is $2525.00. At this time, they are also throwing in a PA-150 sub for free ($400 value)(will probably be replaced with the RW-12D in the future). Not only that, but I managed to get them to take $500 off the price! That's a savings of $900!!! Holy Hell!!

Sorry, I'm a bit giddy right now :D Can't wait to get them setup! Sure, my current room is a bit small, but who needs walking space when you have sound like this?!

Very nice :)

I wish my place was big enough to accommodate some decent sized speakers :(

Thanks! Yeah, these are definitely going to be squeezed in here, they're going in my 12.5' x 12.5' bedroom after all :p. But,

I'm not planning on being in this house for much longer, so hopefully I'll be able to live with the tight fit until then!

Congrats on the purchase!

What will you use to power your towers?

Not much for now, just an Onkyo TX-SR608. I will definitely be upgrading that next and probably getting a separate amp with it. I know this current receiver is not nearly powerful enough, but hopefully in my current tiny room I will not need to have that much power. What are you recommendations?

I wouldn't say your receiver isn't powerful enough at all. Remember it only takes roughly a watt of energy to create 90-107 db of sound with horn loaded speakers which is plenty loud. Any future purchases should be based upon how loud you really wanna crank it!

Haha thanks, that puts my mind at ease. I can't wait to get these things hooked up!
