OrangeSoul
So much of a disaster all ads next week are being pulled to promote bad boys II and gigli most probably will be pulled from theatres in the next 2 weeks, it is estimated it will lose 35 million dollars http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/sto...39p-96356c.html

hoyablue
Lol, i think they should keep it up, people will watch the movie just to see how stupid it is.

bayrider
my friend saw it and she said it was horrible... it seems as if nobody actually read the script before filming. I think they were expecting that people would watch because of the public's fascination with J-Lo and Ben Afflecks relationship... obviously not :)

EzeWong
Oh, Gee, I was expecting to see an indepth story line with a highly dramatic plot, refreshing acting mixed in with a plethora of witty and insightful remarks.
Redestium
I was thinking that it might have some good qualities with Al Pacino and Christopher Walken in it, but I guess not.
hoyablue
What really confuses me is who let them release it. I mean, don't the produces have to approve of it first? OR are they as dumb as the movie is? Moreover: 30 MILLION$!?! If they movie lost that much, they shouldn't have made the movie and given it all to me. Garsh, imagine how many people in Africa this could have fed, and here we are using a million or two like its lunch money.
eth3l
I think that it will make a load of cash in the rental and pay per view market.
NeoSigma
I bet their next film together (Jersey Girl) will probably not make it to the theatres at all after this. I heard that Will Smith got a letter from sony/epic or whatever telling him he should focus on his acting career instead of music. Jennifer Lopez will probably get a letter saying the opposite. Kinda funny because will smith started his career from music and J lo started from acting... Yet anyone who starred in annaconda deserves the right to take their own lives. AgEnTsMiTh
J-ho I mean Lo and afleck were not an item at the time of filming this movie. They became involved During and AFTER the film was complete.

NeoSigma
It's like Van Damme, his last film was such a dissapointment, I've never seen any of his films in theatres after that. I know he's made about half a dozen that never made it to the big screen. I've seen most of them and some of them should have been given the chance to go on the big screen. +primortal Subscriber² Posted August 5, 2003 Subscriber² Share Posted August 5, 2003 From what I read that they changed the script due the Lo and Afleck relationship together. Lo's character was a lesbian and people wanted to see Lo and Afleck together so they took out all the lesbian references and made her hetro. So sad... If their next movie bombs, I bet she will leave Afleck cause her movie career was doing fing until they got together....

bangbang023 Veteran Posted August 5, 2003 Veteran Share Posted August 5, 2003 The yalso changed the script because the original version had affleck's character dying at the end but test audiences didn't like it, so they changed it.

I'm sure thats not the only thing they didnt like.... As for the rental sales, I would have never touched this movie with a 90ft pole. But after hearing all the reviews I kinda do, Im not goign to the theaters I may rent it... So I think it may take off in rental sales

I feel really sorry for Kevin. This film won't hold well for Jersey Girl, even if it's good. Everyone will just remember this, and avoid it. Which will be a shame. I personally love all of Kevin's films, and am still looking forward to JG. But it does sound like Gigli suffers from more than bad acting. Bad Script, Bad editing, etc, etc. But then that's based on other peoples reviews.
