WHMCS payments?

Question

i wanted to know how i can make payments automatic and keep a credit card of the user on file.. useing payment systems like paypal would not allow me to do this so i was wondering what would be the best way to do this but also to ensure the payment remains instant without any more manual input when details entered any help would be great thanks :)

Neowin isn't the best place to ask for help with WHMCS namely because the community over at WHMCS would be better suited.

That being said: You should NOT be storing credit card details if people are using a payment gateway (like Paypal, 2Checkout or Google Checkout.) The only time you should be storing credit card details is if you actually process the payments yourself--which is obvious you do not since you brought up Paypal.

So you have NO reason at all to even WANT to store credit card details (which sounds fishy to me.) If a USER wants to make automatic payments then give them the option to create a Paypal Subscription. Once you let them set that up, it will run through every month without you OR the client needing to do anything.

So as just a reminder: Using the 'Offline credit card' gateway means that you have a way to process them yourself eg: through a terminal in your office or through a provider that isn't any of the listed gateways you can use through WHMCS.

There is no need to store user payment details. You can setup recurring payments using PayPal and WHMCS just fine.

If you need to create invoices then you will create them in WHMCS itself and ensure that you have mail setup so that the invoices generated are emailed to the client(s) in question. It would be wrong of you to store their credit card, create an invoice and then charge them without their knowledge. It's best to create the invoice, email them the invoice and let them pay for it (through Paypal, Google Checkout or whatever payment gateway you set up for it.)

:)
