So, so tempted to pre-order the collectors edition with my credit at Amazon. All of that stuff would be PERFECT for the cubicle at my new job that I start on the 17th. Damn, I feel as if I almost have to get it now. laugh.gif

Holy shi*. Amazon are offering the USA collectors edition for ?114?! I want the plushie, but I don't know if I'm willing to pay more than double the price of the game for it! Maybe I'll just buy the game and keep on the look out on e-bay for the plushie...

That's just a marketplace seller.

If you're really that interested try and find someone on these forums who may buy it for you and ship it over.

Edge 9/10 - http://www.next-gen....planet-2-review

PCWorld 5/5 - http://www.pcworld.i.../372343?pp=1#cb

MSN 9/10 - http://games.uk.msn....entid=155755472

That'll do for reviews anyone still wanting to read any can just visit metacritic.

PCWorlds is a direct gank of the Gamepro article, it even quotes Gamepro as the source, it shouldn't count.

Five things you didn't know about Little Big Planet 2:

Foreign nonsense. The gibberish voices of the characters that appear in LittleBigPlanet 2's story levels had to be localized into 16 different languages so that they matched the actors' voices in the cut-scenes.

Happy hunting. There are not one but two hidden Easter Eggs in LittleBigPlanet 2, which could be found in the levels "Sharp Shooting" and "Lift Off."

More secrets. Some levels have a special secret path through them that can be unlocked by activating a sticker switch when replaying them.

Lucky ducks. Two members of Media Molecule's design team were plucked straight from the LittleBigPlanet community; their levels were so amazing the company simply had to hire them to work on LBP2.

Storytime. There are more than 40 new story levels across six themes in LBP2 -- people may know that, but what I don't think everyone knows is that each theme is influenced by cultural high points in history, providing an artistically reworked canvas for Sackboy to explore. This includes Techno Renaissance, Steampunk and Cake, Neon Propaganda, Fluffy High-Tech, Designer Organic and Hand-made Arcade.

That's pretty awesome, life changing for those two!

Indeed. Media Molecule seems like a really cool company to work for as well. At least, that's the conclusion that I drew from this awesome picture from a few months ago: http://www.mediamolecule.com/blog/article/we_really_need_people_to_help_us_finish_littlebigplanet_2/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed:+MediaMoleculeBlog+Media+Molecule+Blog&utm_content=Twitter

Nice pic AB :). I'm probably going to pre-order mine today as well. I usually don't go for special editions, but this one is too tempting to pass up.

That's the review package btw, not mine rofl.gif

Ahh, I see. I thought you had somehow managed to score an early copy :p .

Not a lot of Canadian retailers stocking the Collector's Edition for some reason. Looks like I'll have to go through Gamestop or the American version of Amazon. Kinda strange...

To anyone wanting the toy, you can get them over at play for ?8.99, I bought one ages ago and it's pretty cool :D This one seems to be a different version and isn't released until the 28th though.

Just pre-ordered the regular edition from Amazon. Had $10 in video game credit from GT5 which expired end of this month, so wound up getting it for $47.99, which since I also had over $85 in credit from trade ins, means I paid nothing, so pretty happy about that. I was really, really tempted with the Collectors Edition, but just decided an extra $20 for the doll and some book ends was not for me. Very well may wind up regretting that decision, but as of right now very happy I got the game for $47.99. Free release day delivery too since I do Amazon Prime, but let's hope it shows up on time.

Didn't pre-order the Collector's Edition today like I planned. I was about to go through the US Amazon site until I saw that they wanted an extra $9.48 for "Import Fees". Whatever that means. I also tried J&R, but the only international shipping option that they allow is UPS, which has a whopping $42 shipping charge. Meanwhile, the Collector's Edition has mysteriously disappeared from Gamestop's website, and I could have sworn it was there yesterday.

No love for Canada :(.

Damnit, I could have sworn it wasn't there yesterday. Maybe I'm just losing my mind  .

Thanks for the link. Will definitely pre-order this today, just for the opportunity to give my office a little bit of decorating. :)

EDIT: Just pre-ordered. Yay!

So I bailed on the Collector's Edition.. it just wasn't worth the money. However, will still pick the regular up.
