static_geek
I've come to the point where I need one.Seeing as Neowin is the home of the best and the brightest, and I've just started reading up on the matter.I was wondering if there was a general consensus as to the what I should be looking for, with regards to ease of use, flexibility, features, and etc. 3 computers 3 OS(winXP Pro,winXP home, win 2000). +BudMan MVC Posted August 6, 2003 MVC Share Posted August 6, 2003 I have used the linksys befsr41 quite a bit - and I had one that was rock solid for years (since they came out) with 24/7/365 service. When it finally died - poor thing, it gave me so much - and asked for so little. I went with the befsrx41 (vpn and firewall features) - I would not write home about any of the firewall features. But the snmp support that you get with this model vs just the sr41 is very useful -- This allows you to graph all the traffic in an out of your router using MRTG - if your into that sort of thing :)
