You do know that Office 2010 allows you to save directly to Skydrive, this means it makes sense for other Office apps on WP7 to have the ability to sync with Skydrive.

Of course, the best solution would be if MS integrated Sharepoint into Skydrive to simplify the syncing process. This would make Sharepoint Mobile useful for a much larger number of people and would also make Skydrive much more useful. I'd also like to see them integrate Sharepoint into new versions of Windows Home Server which would make WP7 and WHS an unbeatable combination.

Sharepoint is firmly an enterprise solution, and I don't think you'll see it on Live for a very long time. I like the idea though, if Skydrive was setup to function as (even if limited) a fake kind of Sharepoint server, or at least implemented some of the Sharepoint functionality, in a similar way to how Hotmail provides Exchange functionality.

Office 365 which should be available quite soon offers Sharepoint online as part of the offering. It's aimed at businesses with a price tag of ?5/$5 per user, per month, but there's no reason you can't set up an Office 365 account with one person, for singular use. Considering there's an average ?5/$5 surcharge on BlackBerry plans for the BIS services, I for one will certainly be signing up for the service (which has Exchange, Sharepoint, Lync availability).I'll just consider it the (low) monthly charge for enhanced services (on top of the 10GB Exchange account MS host for me, for free, for life :p)

Well, sure I mean MS could do that with something like Zune 5.0, but I think at the most it'll be basic control when it comes to stuff like photos and documents, I don't expect them to put any sorta photo editing in there, just basic managment so you can move pics off and on the phone. Same with other files/books etc. So I think they'll let the live apps support WP7 as well with some update later this year for them.

I still don't know why I can't transfer office files to my phone from my computer. The computer has office, the phone has mobile office, yet I can't transfer a file from my phone to the computer, or from the computer to the phone. I can transfer music, video, pictures, but no office files. I would love this to be changed, but I think this is more a zune software problem than a phone problem.

I do not have any SD card issues at all on my Focus using a 16GB Class4 Kingston.

Yes but it doesn't have to be in much the same way as Exchange doesn't have to be an enterprise solution. As you said, MS have managed to move Hotmail over to Exchange and they should look to do something similar with Exchange.

Considering all the features that didn't make it into the initial version of WP7 it's seems strange that they'd include Sharepoint considering the limited benefit it offers most users. Now that it's on the phone it seems natural to make it available to a large number of users and as the solution for getting documents onto your device. In terms of Office, it could be the ultimate cloud service if tied into Skydrive. I'm not talking about anything complicated, just a basic Sharepoint service that exposes documents stored in Skydrive or in the user folder on a Windows Home Server. It makes a lot more sense than adding document management to the Zune client.

By the way, many of the hosted Exchange packages that are available from 3rd-party companies such as WebFusion can also be configured with Sharepoint access. However, they're often too expensive for individuals to consider.

Yeah but that doesn't do any form of syncing, just manual saving the loading. Onenote was the only one that already had any form of pre-existing syncing functionality built in, and I wouldn't be surprised if we had to wait until the next desktop version of Office to get proper syncing with the mobile apps, though I atleast hope for integrated saving and loading from skydrive in the Office hub in the meantime o.O

IIRC Hotmail is still not on exchange, they are just supporting EAS much like gmail.

The management of photos inside Zune software is very poor.

It should support copying them to any folder I want on the phone, and not create a long folder structure which makes browsing them on the phone difficult.

I agree with those that want a better skydrive integration. The ability to explore save everything on skydrive could be a great improvement.
