Australian Open 2011

Yes, so did Roddick. Hopefully Andy Murray can make a run at it this year. From what I've been reading he has put in all of the work. I know that doesn't always translate to wins, but it's a start.

I never had faith that Murray would win it, even with Federer, Nadal and Ferrer out of the picture. No energy, no attacking tennis, couldn't solidify breaks of serve, poor body language. It simply wasn't worth getting up hopes.

The problem with Murray has always been his temperament when it doesn't go his way. On far too many occasions during the final he looked as though he was finished and completely given up. A true champion fights till the bitter end. It's not his game that needs to improve, we saw that he can obliterate the opposition over the last 2 weeks. He seriously needs to fix up his mentality and temperament. Until he does that, he will never win a Grand Slam.

Well done Djokovic. Much deserved victory.
