Which program do you use for coding?

Question

I was thinking about trying to switch out Dreamweaver with something else that is a lot more coding related. Even though in CS5 there are a lot of features in DW it still doesn't feel like a piece of software to code in.

So I was thinking I would get some suggestions here. I've seen some programs that actually have the black background with colored codes - how well is that for the eyes for longer coding runs?

I'm primarily doing PHP, HTML & CSS.

Windows 7 - Dreamweaver (integrated FTP ftw), InType (w/ CuteFTP)

OSX - Coda (w/ Transmit)

What are the benefits of using Trasmit with Coda? Since Coda already has built in transfer capabilities.

I'm mainly developing on .Net so its Visual Studio, I also use a bit of Expression Studio (mainly web and blend). When I'm doing PHP I use VS.PHP which is an add-on allowing you to develop using php through Visual Studio. For quick edits I simply use notepad2

Question should be what do I not use?

For Java.. Netbeans. For matlab, the matlab editor. When working with visual C/C++ projects, the visual studio IDE... reasons? They have their own autocorrects, or because it will show me tooltips with the functions required arguments as I type.

But when I'm just reviewing code or comparing stuff or whatever, I always use Notepad++, because of the colour coding.

TextMate for just looking over files and it intergrates nicely with CyberDuck.

Xcode for Cocoa and Mono for C# (Been trying it out under Unix/Linux lately) and of course Coda for HTML/CSS.
